Freshjive Presents Photographs by Edward Colver
Originally obtaining notoriety for documenting the early Los Angeles Punk scene and culture, Edward Colver has captured some of the most iconic photos ever shot. But this was just the beginning. Edward, with his discerning eye, has over the years captured photographic images that stand alone as art beyond the realm of the L.A. punk days.
On August 29, Freshjive and the Reserve store will be exhibiting some of Ed’s more obscure but equally powerful photos, some of which have never been seen before.
Edward was recently featured in the Los Angeles Times Sunday paper. Read the article

Keep "Most refreshing shoe since the Vans Authentic"
Cops are Smart..
Outside a local neighborhood bar, a police patrol routinely parked outside on the weekends for the obvious reason that several of its patrons had the unfortunate habit of driving home inebriated. On this particular night, the officer noticed a man leaving the bar so intoxicated that he could barely walk. The man stumbled around the parking lot for a few minutes with the officer quietly observing.
After what seemed an eternity and trying his keys on five different vehicles, the man managed to find his own car which he fell into. He was there for a few minutes as a number of other patrons left the bar and drove off.
Finally he started the car, switched the wipers on and off (it was a dry night), flicked the hazard flasher on and off, tooted the horn, and then switched on the lights. He moved the vehicle forward a few inches, reversed a little, and then remained stationary for a few more minutes as more patrons left in their vehicles. At last he pulled out of the parking lot and started to drive slowly down the street.
The police officer, having patiently waited all this time, now started up his patrol car, put on the flashing lights, promptly pulled the man over and carried out a breathalyzer test. To his amazement, the breathalyzer indicated no evidence of the man having consumed alcohol at all!
Dumbfounded, the officer said, "I'll have to ask you to accompany me to the Police Station. This breathalyzer equipment must be broken."
"I doubt it," said the man, "Tonight, I'm the designated decoy."

Wall Mart Collaborates with Ernest & Julio
Walmart announced that, sometime in late 2008, it will begin offering
customers a new discount item - Walmart's own brand of wine.
The world's largest retail chain is teaming up with Ernest & Julio
Gallo Winery of California to produce the spirits at an affordable
price, in the $2 - $5 range.
Wine connoisseurs may not be inclined to put a bottle of Walmart
brand into their shopping carts, but "there is a market for
inexpensive wine," said Kathy Micken, Professor of Marketing and
Marksmanship at the University of Arkansas. "But the right name is
important."
Customer surveys were conducted to determine the most attractive name
for the Walmart wine brand. The top surveyed names in order of
popularity were:
7. Chef Boyardeaux
6. NASCARbernet
5. White Trashfindel
4. World Championship Riesling
3. Chateau Traileur Parc
2. I Can't Believe it's not Vinegar
1. Peanut Noir
The beauty of Walmart wine is that it can be served with either white
meat (Possum) or red meat (Squirrel).
SUCK IT!
A lot of people have been adopting this term without knowing where its roots are.
Here's some knowledge
You can tell Cops to suck it but you will end up in the drunktank right Jay? Friends, co-workers, babes, bosses, bitches, bartenders, and bouncers.
It's soo versitile!
Have fun with it

Stussy is older then you...
US Airways' adds a fee for water
Another day, another airline fee. Now it's US Airways charging for beverages and bottled water, starting today. And don't forget Hawaiian Air and Northwest joining United, American and US Airways in charging $15 for checking the first bag. Oh, and Delta doubled its fee for checking a second bag to $50.
What next? Fees for taking a deep breath? For looking out the window? For crossing your legs? Oh, I forgot — there’s not enough room to cross your legs.
